At approximately 1432 hours Murrieta Parole Compliance Team Officers attempted to pullover a vehicle for an equipment violation. The vehicle’s driver failed to yield and officers went in pursuit. The suspect vehicle drove onto a dirt field north of Guava Street east of Madison Avenue. The driver and two passengers fled from the vehicle. Officer Huss with the Parole Compliance Team was able to immediately detain the front seat passenger and the rear seat passenger at gunpoint. The driver fled on foot and ran through an open dirt field. Officers foot pursued the driver and was able to catch up to him after a short distance The driver quickly realized he was not going to be able to out run the officers and decided to give up. The driver was handcuffed without incident. The driver and front seat passenger were both parolee's and arrested for outstanding armed and dangerous parolee at large warrants. The female passenger in the rear seat was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Approximately a half an ounce of methamphetamine was located in the dirt field near where the driver ran. Charges will be submitted for numerous Health and Safety drug violations against the driver. Possible stolen gaming items were recovered from the vehicle as well and follow up investigation is being conducted by Officer Huss. The Murrieta Parolee/Probation Complaince Team Officers continue their mission serving the citizens of Murrieta by contacting parolees and probationers in the City of Murrieta ensuring their compliance with all the terms of their relase from state prison. If not in compliance, officers promptly arrest these parolees and probationers and return them to prison.
