Personal Goal Statement:
Gary's top priority is to maintain a high level of city services that the residents have come to enjoy. By proactively planning for the future, he is committed to providing the resources to meet the needs of Murrieta's citizens. Gary feels it is most important to develop and implement a budget that accurately reflects the needs of the community and has the ability to financially support those needs. Therefore, he was deeply involved in creating a balanced budget this year that is responsible in consideration of the needs of the community. Murrieta's future depends on all of us - residents, businesses and government - working together to make Murrieta a great place to grow.
Personal bio:
Gary and his wife, Kris, have been Murrieta residents since 1991. Together, they have three daughters, three grandchildren and two horses. Gary owns and operates a successful local dental laboratory, and holds a B.A. Degree in Biological Science and a Dental Technology Degree. Before election to the City Council in 2006, Gary served on the Murrieta Planning Commission (2005-2006), Murrieta Steering Committee (2002-2005) and Murrieta General Plan Advisory Committee (1997-1999 & 2004-2005).
