Personal Goal Statement:

His goals for Murrieta envision a safe family oriented community where residents live, work, and play. Rick's focus is to bring high paying employers to the area in order to take our citizens off the freeways and do away with the need for long distance commuting. As co-chairman of the Business Round Table, a strategic plan for business attraction has been researched and composed. At his urging, an economic development position was created and an experienced specialist hired to begin the campaign to sell Murrieta to prospective employers. As a member of the Riverside County Transportation Commission, he has lobbied for improvements to the I-15 and I-215 freeways and worked with CALTRANS to insure that our interchange projects remain on schedule. He is a strong proponent of public safety and has long supported police and fire department goals to insure necessary staffing levels and procurement of top of the line equipment.  As a result of his strong advocacy, a 200-bed full service hospital is coming to Murrieta.
