Commission Applications

The City of Murrieta invites interested residents to apply to serve on the following commissions with 3 year terms.

  • Planning 1 seat meets 2nd (& 4th as needed) Wednesday of month at 6:00 p.m.
  • Traffic 2 seats meets 3rd Wednesday of month at 6:00 p.m.
  • Community Services 2 seats meets 1st Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
  • Historic Preservation 1 seat meets as needed at 6:00 p.m.
  • Library Advisory 1 seat meets 3rd Monday of even-numbered months at 6:30 p.m.


It is anticipated that the City Council will make appointments on June 1, 2010. Those selected serve without compensation, are required to: be a registered voter, take an oath, agree to an ethics code and take an ethics class, and may be required to file a Statement of Economic Interests.

 

An application, along with a description of duties, may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 1 Town Square, 24601 Jefferson Avenue, Murrieta between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  An on-line application and Commission information may also be obtained from the City’s website here.  In addition, a supplemental application is required for the Planning Commission and Historic Preservation Advisory Commission and can be obtained by calling (951) 461-6031.

 

The deadline for returning applications to the City Clerk is 5:30 p.m., March 31, 2010.
