    Free Summer Activities for Teens at the Murrieta Library

    MURRIETA, CA – The fun begins on Monday, June 10th when teens in grades 7 to 12 have an opportunity to read books from the Murrieta Library to earn money for the Animal Friends of the Valleys, the local animal shelter, and to enter their names in the Reading Prizes Drawing. Teens can earn seven points for the Finale Party Drawing by reading and participating in the following activities and are encouraged to pick up a Reading Card at the Adult Information Desk and start reading:

    • Sushilicious - Thursday, June 13 at 3 p.m. Create sushi and eat it! Space is limited to 25 participants.*
    • Teen Party Night - Tuesday, June 18 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy music, games, socializing, snacks and fun!
    • Cookie Frosting Fun! - Tuesday, June 25 at 2 p.m. Decorate and devour! Space is limited to 24 participants.*
    • Technology-The Cutting Edge - Thursday, June 27 at 3 p.m. An introduction to the latest gadgets by Best Buy staff.

    *Tickets are available 30 minutes before the activity at the Adult Information Desk.

    These activities are free and open to the public and are sponsored by the Friends of the Murrieta Library and local businesses.
