MURRIETA PUBLIC LIBRARY OFFERS NEW VIDEO-ON-DEMAND SERVICE
The video-on-demand concept is taken to another level through the Murrieta Public Library where anyone can download a variety of DVD quality programs for free to their home or mobile computer. A new service called "MyLibraryDV” is now provided by the Murrieta Public Library via the Library's website 24 hours a day, seven days a week for free.
According to Supervising Librarian Elise Malkowski, “The Murrieta Public Library is very excited about providing another avenue of obtaining information through technology and making it available to our community. Anyone can download pre-recorded programs from the Murrieta Public Library"s webpage link to “MyLibraryDV” and choose from a wide variety of credible resources such as America’s Test Kitchen, Antiques Road Show, and Rick Steve’s Europe, in addition to viewing PBS children’s programs, classic movies, and other topics. The Library is offering this service through a partnership with Recorded Books to allow individuals and families another way to satisfy their recreation, education, and cultural information needs through technology.
To get started, visit the Library’s website at www.murrieta.org/services/library and click on “MyLibraryDv”. All that is needed to download these high quality programs is a Murrieta Public Library compatible library card and an Internet connection!”
