At just before 7:30 pm on Tuesday night, the Murrieta Fire Department was called to 25016 Trilogy Trails Lane near Ivy Street in the west side of Murrieta for a structure fire. When units arrived, they found an estimated 2,500 square foot, three-car garage, that was completely involved with fire and within five feet of the main house. Crews were able to stop the fire within 25 minutes and keep it confined to the garage after experiencing a complete roof collapse. Eighteen firefighters arrived to fight the fire and no injuries occurred. Contents and destroyed structure were estimated to be a loss of 250,000 dollars. Fire investigators from the Murrieta Fire Department classified the cause of the fire as undetermined but have concluded that equipment within the garage was the most likely cause of the fire. The fire was noticed by a neighbor who called "911" prior to the homeowner being aware.

On Monday March 14, 2011, at 5:30 p.m., the Murrieta Fire Department responded to a reported garage fire at 36695 Long Branch Avenue. The first arriving engine noticed heavy black smoke coming from the garage. 17 firefighters from the Murrieta Fire Department along with assistance from Riverside County Fire Department personnel confined the fire within 20 minutes to the garage. A minivan parked in the driveway also became engulfed in fire and was also had extensive damage. During the dispatch for this fire, another dispatch occurred for a structure fire in a nearby neighborhood challenging resources. Initial reports were given that people were inside the home but all parties had left prior to fire department personnel arriving. Damage to the structure was estimated at 60,000 dollars and the vehicle damage was estimated at 10,000 dollars. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

On Friday March 4, 2011, at 6:52 p.m., the Murrieta Fire Department responded to a reported garage fire in the 2900 block of Pebble Beach Drive. When the first engine arrived, the fire had spread inside the living area of the home and involved the kitchen and family rooms. Four engines, a truck, and a breathing support vehicle were dispatched to the incident and used to battle the fire. Seventeen firefighters had the fire contained at 7:24 p.m. The majority of structure damage occurred to the garage, but smoke and heat damage was present inside the structure. The damage was estimated at $150,000 dollars and the cause is still pending as the investigation continues.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, the Murrieta Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 24394 Silver Bullet Way. Sixteen firefighters arrived shortly after the initial call to find smoke coming from the attic of a two story home.
