Teen Summer Reading Program at the Library
May 20, 2016 

The 2016 Read for the Win! Teen Summer Reading Program starts on Monday, June 11 for grades 7 - 12. Teens have the opportunity to read books from the Murrieta Library to earn money for Animal Friends of the Valleys, the local animal shelter, and for Paws 4 Law, the Murrieta Police Department’s K9 unit, and will have their names entered into the weekly Teen, Special, and Reading Prize Drawings.

Every Hero Has a Story Festival at the Library

Super heroes of all sizes are invited to don their favorite cape and show off their super powers at the Murrieta Public Library’s opening celebration for the Summer Reading Program. The festival will be held on Saturday, June 11, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the theme is “Every Hero Has a Story.”

Library Offers Programs for Adults in June
May 20, 2016 

On Tuesday, June 14, at 6:30 p.m., culinary expert and instructor, Celine Cossou, will demonstrate how to make delicious summertime desserts. On Monday, June 27, at 5:00 p.m., professional artist, Angela Koenig, will demonstrate and teach the basics of watercolor painting.

Library Celebrates City's 25th Birthday with History Talk Series

The Murrieta Public Library is honoring the 25th birthday of the City of Murrieta with a quarterly Speaker Showcase. The next in the series is “Murrieta: Then and Now”, a presentation by the Jennings Family, on Monday, June 6, at 6:00 p.m., in the Library’s Community Room.

Library Offers Unique Storytime
January 15, 2016 

A new program is aimed to help kids who can be under, or overly, stimulated. In partnership with the Comprehensive Autism Center, the Murrieta Public Library will be offering a special needs storytime for all ages at 10:30 AM on January 26, February 23, March 29, April 26, and May 31 in the Library’s Community Room.
