The primary duties of the Off-Road Unit include protecting the rights of land owners against off-road vehicles trespassing onto their private property, identifying potential fire hazards on undeveloped land and assisting with search and rescue missions in areas not accessible by road. The Off-Road Unit is available for mutual aide requests received by surrounding public safety agencies or by the California Emergency Management Agency. | | |
