On Friday July 3, 2009 the Murrieta Police Department will conduct a combination sobriety/drivers license checkpoint in the City of Murrieta. The time and location of the checkpoint can be obtained from the Murrieta Police Department’s watch commander after 12:00 noon on July 3, 2009.
This checkpoint is being funded as part of the “Avoid the 30” campaign. The “Avoid the 30” campaign is a grant awarded from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) through the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency.
The Murrieta Police Department is one of several agencies that will be operating simultaneous sobriety/drivers license checkpoints throughout Riverside County on Friday July 3rd.
The Murrieta Police Department would like to urge all motorists to seriously consider the dangers and consequences of drinking and driving. |
