On Friday August 14, 2009 the Murrieta Police Department Juvenile Investigations Team along with Investigators from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) conducted a Minor Decoy Operation. The Minor Decoy Operation is funded by a state grant awarded to the Murrieta Police Department.
The officers and teenage decoy visited eight establishments that are licensed by the City of Murrieta to sell alcoholic beverages. Jeans Channel Cats located on 28393 Somers Road was the only location where the clerk sold an alcoholic beverage to the minor decoy. The cited clerk will face misdemeanor criminal charges and the business owner will face possible administrative charges and fines by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The Murrieta Police Department will conduct future minor decoy operations. |
