Incident Summary

  

At 0440 hours Officers from the Murrieta Police Department responded to the Denny’s Restaurant at 25365 Madison Avenue reference an armed robbery.  Investigation revealed 2 Hispanic males wearing masks over their faces entered the restaurant at 0435 hours as the manager was standing near the register cashing out a customer.  Suspect #1 demanded the manager open the register and give him the money.  Suspect #1 pointed a silver handgun at the manager.  Suspect #2 stood near the front door and said nothing.  The manager complied and both suspects fled towards the south side of the restaurant and entered a grey/silver Toyota Yaris or Ford Escort.  The vehicle was last seen on Madison turning east on to Murrieta Hot Springs.  According to the manager, the suspects cased the restaurant for about 10 minutes prior to the robbery.  Both suspects are described as Hispanic males in their 20's.  Anyone with information regarding this robbery is encouraged to call the Murrieta Police Department at 951-696-3615.
