Incident Summary

At 1943 hrs the Murrieta Police Department received a call to assist the San Bernardio Sheriff's Office with a warrant service in the 24000 block of  Burlwood Street in Murrieta.  The warrant was for the arrest of a 23 year old man named Jose Pinto wanted for the continous lewd acts with a minor (the name and location of the juvenile is confidential for the privacy of the victim.)

Upon arrival the suspect refused to come out and would not speak to the officers.  Family members confirmed he had access to a 38 cal handgun and the gun was missing.  After over an hour stand-off and repeated requests for him to exit the residence, a Special Weapons And Tactics Team (SWAT) was deployed.  At 0124 hours the suspect was in custody.  There were no injuries and some minor damage to the residence.  He was booked by the Murrieta Police Department at the Southwest Detention Center on the warrant.
