Incident Summary

At 0821 hours, officers responded to the 27200 block of Wedgewood Way in reference to the resident detaining a burglary suspect inside his own home.  Officers arrived on scene and took Daniel BERNAL, 33 years of age, into custody for the crime of first degree burglary.  The victim exited his bathroom and found BERNAL rummaging through a purse belonging to the victim's wife inside the family room of the home.  The victim restrained BERNAL in a headlock until police arrived.  BERNAL has lived next door to the victim for three years.

 

Bernal was booked for resdiential burglary and transported to the Southwest Detention Center.  He is being held on $25,000.00 bail.
