Incident Summary

On 10/15/09 at 1545 hrs, Murrieta Police Officers were dispatched to the area of E. Hale Curran Elementary school in regards to a vehicle burglary that just occurred.  The suspect described as a male white in a pick up truck broke the window to a vehicle and stole a victim's purse while she was at the school picking up her child.  Patrol Officers located the pick up truck in the parking lot of Albertson's located at 41000 Cal Oaks Rd.  The driver of the pick up, identified as, Joshua Whipple 31 of Nuevo matched the description of the suspect stealing the purse.  A search of the truck revealed the victim's purse. Joshua Whipple told Officer's that a crew consisting of his two brother's Adam and Matthew Pawloski and his brother's girlfriend Larissa Dorman also from Nuevo, have been breaking into cars for the past two weeks.  Joshua Whipple stated he and his brothers would go to Elementary Schools and wait for females picking up their children from school, to leave their vehicles.  If the females leave their cars without their purses, he would break the window of the vehicle and steal the purse left in the car.  Joshua Whipple stated his brother Matthew Pawloski and Larissa Dorman were staying at the Extended Stay Inn in Temecula.

Murrieta Police SET Detectives responded to the Extended Stay Inn in Temecula and caught Mathew Pawloski and Larissa Dorman returning to the Inn in their 1994 Black Honda Civic.  This vehicle also matched the description of a vehicle seen committing a vehicle burglary in Murrieta on 10/14/2009.  SET Detectives contacted Matthew Pawloski and Larissa Dorman in the vehicle.  The detectives found numerous purses and wallets stolen from vehicle burglaries in the suspect vehicle.  Matthew Pawloski had blood all over his shirt and several cuts on his hands and arms.  Matthew stated he received the cuts when he broke the windows on several vehicles to steal purses.  A search of the hotel room where the suspects were staying revealed numerous purses, wallets, checks and credit cards belonging to Victims in Murrieta, Temecula, Sun City and Menifee.

Adam Pawloski was arrested after he was identified through fingerprints for an October 2006 vehicle burglary that occurred in the 27000 block of Wedgewood in the City of Murrieta.

Murrieta Police Department received five vehicle burglaries in the area of Tovashal Elementary school, Shivela Elementary School, Monte Vista Elementary School as well as the Cal Oaks Sports Park.  It appears these suspects are responsible for numerous vehicle burglaries in the South West Riverside County area.  Suspect Joshua Whipple stated he would commit at least 20 to 30 vehicle burglaries in a month.

Joshua Whipple, Matthew Pawloski, and Larissa Dorman were arrested and charged with 459 PC Burglary, 496 PC Receiving Stolen Property and 484(g) PC Unlawful Use of a Credit Card.  Adam Pawloski was arrested and charged with 459 PC Burglary.  The suspects were transported and booked into the Southwest Detention Center.
