Dial-A-Ride is a program established by the RTA (Riverside Transit Authority) to provide discounted curb-to-curb transportation service for seniors (age 60 or over)and persons with disabilities who reside in the Murrieta and Temecula city limits. In order to use this service, the starting and ending destinations must be within these two city limits. Last year, 216,000 people utilized this service throughout several South Riverside communities.

Persons certified under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) will receive priority scheduling when their trip request is made at least one day in advance. (For more information on ADA, contact ADA operations department at (951) 684-0850.
Dial-A-Ride representatives recommend calling to schedule your trip from one to seven days in advance.
Same-day service reservation requests are only accepted if space is available
Special Note: Due to rising Fuel Costs, it is imperative that any cancellation of previously scheduled pick-ups be called in 6:00 p.m. the previous day. In November of 2005, RTA will start a three-strike policy to cut down on last minute cancellations and individuals who miss their pick-up appointment, which during the last 6 months reached a frequency of 17%.
ADA passenger requests must call at least one day in advance to receive priority scheduling.
When calling for a reservation, be prepared to give the following information
- Your name and phone number
- Pick-up address
- Appointment time
- Destination Address
- If you are ADA certified
